Since its very first beginning in 2016, we’ve established a close relationship and networking with the European Centre on Privacy and Cybersecurity (ECPC) at the Law Faculty of the Maastricht University too.

Focused in positioning Wakaru® as a nonconformist expert SAP® partner blending AI based smart systems for utilities like the Water Wise System® and any other industry sectors were there's knowledge to be found from massive streams of data in real time. MBA in International Management, holds several certifications CGEIT, CISM and CRISC from ISACA, ISO 27001, ITIL, ISO 20000 and IAM Certified Asset Manager. Certified DPO by the Faculty of Law of the Maastricht University.

Carlos Oliveira

Head of Business Development

Has more than 25 years of experience in software analysis and development, IT consulting services, sales management, project management, risk, compliance and IT management and governance. Strong experience in managing teams, formulating and executing long-term strategies and interacting with clients, employees and other stakeholders. His commitment is to help its customers to achieve high performance. He is a leader with deep expertise in developing strong client relationships and has a passion for building outstanding teams with a disciplined focus on operations and execution.

With more than 15 years of experience in IT, focused on implementation and management of Technological Research and Development Projects for the Utility Sector.
Building bridges between the IT and OT, leveraged by Complex event processing and event driven paradigms, Big Data, predictive analytics, and AI.

Sérgio Pinto

Head of Operations

With more than 15 years of experience, he is a people centered manager and team builder. Extensive experience in balancing complex and challenging customer's objectives and project delivery in different geographies and cultures. Able to partner with customers from solution design, to implementation and long term support, always looking to simplify processes and comply with business, legal, tax and regulatory requirements. Understands the specific needs of the front and back-office functions. Strong background in SAP ERP, cloud and industry solutions.

Pedro Cascalheira

Marketing and Communication expert with broad experience in brand management, strategic communication, planning advertisement campaigns and project manager. Had manage and lead teams in projects applied to technology, health industries, utilities sector, and digital bank solutions. Focus on talents development, implementation of new procedures, establishment partnerships and business processes with clients. Develop strategic and tactical solutions to drive business and organizations forward, facilitating achievement and effectiveness.

João Mugeiro

Head of Utilities Center of Excellence

Utilities expert, with more than 20 years of experience in management, consulting and project management, mostly within water utilities, being a water specialist. With a degree in Management, has experience and expertise in customer care (marketing and communication, setting up accounts, billing and collection, complaints, in-house/field technical and commercial services) and also in non-revenue water assessment (water meters, real and apparent losses, fraud reduction). Passionate about sharing knowledge, is committed to help utilities towards a net zero carbon footprint.
